Little Me in Italy

Hello everyone, I am sad to say that this is my last blog post of the year. Well, it's not really that sad. Anyways, again this week has just been poop. I am really tired, I've had quite a few tests, and I've had a lot of assignments to finish and submit. This week has been the end of a lot of things. First, I played my last soccer game on Tuesday with all my buddies, we're practically all going to different teams which makes me very sad. Second, this blog is coming to an end, it's not going to die or anything, I'm just not going to post crafts and food anymore. So, I've been saving this recipe for my last post because it sounds really good and is surprisingly easy. I had a sip of my friends Italian creme sodas, Dani and Claire, at Vinto and they were so good so I am going to make a vanilla one.

Below is how to make it and I hope it turns out fantastic just like mine did.

What You'll Need:

- 1 cup club soda

- 6 TBS torani syrup (I'm using vanilla, but any flavor is okay)

- 3 TBS half & half milk

- ice (it says three cubes, but that's so random so just use as many as you want)

What to do:

Step 1, put the club soda and ice in a cup. Make sure that the cup is big enough because it will overflow if it isn't big enough, if that isn't already that obvious;)

Step 2,  add the torani syrup and let in seep down to the bottom, DO NOT MIX.

Step 3, add the half and half and let it run down. The recipe says it looks really cool, but it really doesn't. It probably didn't look cool because my syrup was just clear, I guessing it would look really cool with raspberry.

Step 4, mix the stuff before you drink it or else it will taste quite nasty. Yay it's done, now you can feel all fancy drinking your fancy drink!

Twisty Trend (not really a trend)

This week has gone by so slow, oh my gosh, but surprisingly it hasn't been that stressful. It has made me really happy because I can just go home and watch t.v. without worrying about a lot of homework. I've had a few tests, but they were not hard at all. I pretty sure that I am jinxing myself but whatever. Two days ago my family came in from Texas and I am pretty happy because we are going to go shopping and I haven't gone shopping in forever. Okay now to my blog, I went to Walmart last week and I really wanted to make a anklet so I went to the crappy craft section and bought some friendship bracelet string. I was going to put this on my blog last week but, as usual, I did it really late. I came home and I made a braided one, but I'm sure everyone knows how to braid so I decided to show you how to make this one. I pretty sure I am going to start a trend, but probably not! P.S. I know I use "but" a lot but I can't think of any other words that sound better.

If you want to make this awesomely awesome bracelet below is how to make it!

What You'll Need:

- string (colorful)

- tape

- scissors

What to do:

GETTING READY

Step 1, get your colored string out that you want in your bracelet.

Step 2, cut your string all the same length and tie a knot at the top of the string so it all stays together.

Step 3, tape your string on a flat surface.

Step 4, tie a knot

____________________________

TWISTED BRACELET

Step 1, take the color string you want a separate it from the others.

Step 2, take the string and wrap it around the back of your thumb.

Step 3, take the string and wrap it under the other strings.

Step 4, slip your thumb out

Step 5, pull the string and keep pulling until you are at the knot

Step 6, keep repeating those steps, it will eventually look like this

Step 7, you can make each section as small or as big as you want. You are done and don't worry if it doesn't look like this the first time, it takes some practice.

Cup O' Cookies

This weekend I was at my friend Cali's house and we took pictures again. Fast forward, my friend Dani and I went to Starbucks with our friends after school and then after we met Cali and Claire at Redstone. We then rode the city bus to her house. I was hungry so I ate cheerios and supposedly I put them in a dog food cup, but I still ate them. That was super random but whatever! Anyways, about an hour later Clara and Julia came to her house and we took a seriously big photo shoot. This time they were fun, but serious unlike our last pictures that we took. I realized I still hadn't done my blog, as usual. I really need to do them earlier. Back to the story, my plan was to make homemade italian sodas but she didn't have any of the stuff (don't worry I am definitely going to make them). I decided to go off of what I made last week which was the brownie in a mug. Next week I am planning on posting a craft yay!

Well, below is how to make them if you want to know how to make another late night dessert.

What You'll Need:

- 2 TBSP melted butter

- 1 TBSP sugar

- 1 TBSP brown sugar

- 1/8 TSP vanilla

- 1/4 cup flour

- pinch of salt

- 1/8 TSP baking powder

- chocolate chips

What to do:

Step 1, add all the dry ingredients and mix it all together.

Step 2,  add all the wet ingredients and mix it all together again. If the butter isn't melted, like mine, the cookie will become crumbly. The crumbly cookie doesn't taste that bad it would just taste better if the butter was already melted when put in.

Step 3, put it in the microwave for two minutes. Now your done... now wasn't that just so amazingly easy?

Late Night Dessert

So. today after school I went over to my friend Cali's house with my friend Claire. I realized I hadn't done my blog yet and I asked them for ideas and they had nothing. We were hungry so we made pasta and Cali said to write it about pasta and I said, "no that's super dumb and boring." Even though I said that it was dumb she still took pictures, but they were mostly of her and Claire. Anyways, I wanted to be in one of the pictures so I leaned in towards the pasta and Claire just decides to put hot pasta on my face.... Yeah it hurt pretty bad. After we made pasta we got hungry again so we made grill cheeses and Cali took the cheese I opened and put them on hers, making me sound really dumb when I asked what happened to them. I eventually got them back because you know we fought. Then we had some fun with grapes! We put them under our lips to looks like bunnies! It was pretty fun and really entertaining.

my burnt face:(

Well, I still hadn't made anything so when I got home I made a brownie in a mug. Below is how to make it!

What You'll Need:

- 1/4 cup flour

- 1/4 cup sugar

- pinch of salt

- 2 Tbs cocoa powder

- 2 Tbs olive oil

- 3 Tbs water

What to do:

Step 1, mix all the dry ingredients together.

Step 2, mix in the olive oil and water.

Step 3, put in the the microwave for 1 minute and 40 seconds

Step 4, take it out and let it cool and it is done, and I suggest putting ice-cream it on because it makes it taste even better! OMG!

Frame It

This week has seriously not been fun at all, thankfully next week is Spring Break. I seriously think that my teachers are trying to cram as much stuff as they possibly can into my brain, which is totally not cool. Thankfully, I am leaving Friday for lake Powell. We are going on a house boat trip with all my annoying neighbors that like to hurt me and adults that like to make me upset, yay for me. Anyways, I decided to do my blog early but as you can tell this is not early. Every time I plan on doing it early it never works out. I haven't done a craft in a few weeks because I haven't found any good ones on Pinterest yet, but this is one that came to mind and it is super duper easy.

If you want to know how to make a crazy frame, that's the name I gave it, then scroll down and find out!

What You'll Need:

- wooden frame

- tape (can be regular or masking tape)

- paint (very colorful)

- paintbrush

What to do:

Step one, color your base coat and wait until it dries. Mine was yellow because it is spring and spring is awesome!

Step two, put the tape on the way you want it. I just placed my tape randomly but still made sure it looked good!

Step three, paint the shapes with different colors and wait until it dries. I used Easter colors, but bright colors look awesome too!

Step four, pull the tape off, carefully and then you're done!

Now wasn't that easy?!?

Microwaveable Heaven

Yesterday, Thursday, I made caramels because my friends birthday party is today and I really didn't feel like doing my post on my phone again. I was suppose to do a craft this week but I don't have a lot of good ones on my Pinterest page anymore so it looks lie I have to fo find some. I've been wanting to make these caramels for a long time but I just haven't gotten to it yet. It was thirty minutes before my mom and I had to take my sister to dance and this was the easiest thing I could think of. I made it in like ten minutes and it was so easy. It was probably the best caramels I have ever had. They are so soft and they actually taste like the caramels you would get from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate factory or something. Seriously, I am not kidding.

If you are a total and absolute fan of caramels then I highly suggest you make these!

What You'll Ned:

- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

- 1/2 cup karo syrup

- 1/2 cup white sugar

- 1/2 cup brown sugar

- 1/4 cup butter (half a stick, melted)

What to do:

First, mix ALL of your ingredients together.

Second, put your mixture in the microwave for a minute and stir after, do this six times. The recipe says to put it in for 2 minutes at a time but my mixture kind of exploded so I started doing it for one.

Third, pour it into a lightly greased pan, I buttered mine, and put it in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes. If you leave it in for a longer amount of time just take it out and let it sit.

Fourth, cut the caramels into squares and store them in an airtight container. They are done and they are absolutely scrumptious, delicious and magnificent!

These caramels are perfect for gifts, I think I am going to put them in a mason jar, put ribbon around the top and give them to my friend, Emily, for her birthday. YAY!

Is This a Dream?

This week I was really proud of myself because I did my blog early, I don't mean writing it, I mean actually making it. Yay Evie! Anyways, I was looking through all my recipes on Pinterest, as usual, and I came across something that was really simple and it looked really yummy, it was sm'oreos. It's a mixture between s'mores and oreos, if that isn't already obvious. My mom got the stuff and they only took like five minutes to make and they were just absolutely delicious, it kind of seems like it wouldn't taste that good but trust me they do. As soon as the cream in the middle of the oreo looked like it wasn't all melty anymore I ate one, and another, and another. It pretty much ruined my dinner, oh well!

Well if you really want to make these yummy in my tummy sm'oreos below is how to make them!

What You'll Need:

- pack of Oreos (but don't use them all because that would be crazy)

- mini marshmallows

- Hershey bars

What to do:

Step one, take the cookies apart. Make sure to do it slowly and carefully or else they will break like mine did, it took me a while to finally get a good one.

Step two, put the chocolate on top of the cream.

Step three, put the marshmallows on top of the chocolate. I recommend adding two marshmallows because if you add more they will fall out.

Step four, put the sm'oreos in the microwave for about 20 seconds. I put in for another 15 seconds because the marshmallows hadn't finished melting yet but maybe it will be different for you.

Step five, put the other cookie on and let them sit for about 10 minutes and enjoy. They're just absolutely delicious!

Now you're done, yay!
